LitePoint Amplifies Its Presence in Europe

Glostrup, Denmark – October 6, 2009 – LitePoint Corporation, a leader in wireless test-system solutions, is expanding its European footprint to add more service convenience for its booming customer base. “In addition to Europe’s history of cell phone innovation, the region has now also become an innovator in all kinds of other wireless consumer devices,” said Karsten Vandrup, LitePoint’s Europe general manager. “As a result, and in addition to our established wireless customer base, we are now helping customers who only a year ago had nothing to do with wireless,” continues Vandrup. “With our new offices near Copenhagen, we are at the center of cell phone activity and just a short hop away from emerging wireless R&D and manufacturing customers.”

For example, the world’s only multicom test solution, LitePoint’s IQ2010, can shave 75 percent off test time for Mobile Internet Devices (MIDs) and smartphones. That, in turn, cuts the test cost down from about 28 cents per device to only seven. For the new crop of WiFi MIMO (802.11n) equipped devices, the next wave of LitePoint innovations promise to test them in parallel and further slash test time and cost by approximately 70 percent.
