LitePoint Keeping Pace with LTE Standard
Unveils analysis and signal-creation software to support LTE release 8.5
Sunnyvale, CA – July 22, 2009 – LitePoint Corporation announced the first commercially available analysis and signal-creation software compatible with LTE 3GPP Dec 2008 Spec (Release 8.5). The new software enables seamless waveform import and export with industry leading software tools such MATLAB® to allow for further signal analysis or creation capabilities, and supports channel and test models complying with the December 2008 LTE release.
Supports torrid development pace
"Virtually every wireless carrier has indicated its intention to offer LTE capabilities. That has set off a race among base-station-equipment vendors and ODMs to develop compliant LTE designs," said John Lukez, director of product management. "These vendors need to ensure their designs meet the evolving LTE standards, both for device verification, and, later, for high-volume manufacturing. We meet that need with our IQlte software."
Further product details
LitePoint's new IQlte software provides full signal-creation functionality including both uplink and downlink, which for LTE uses different modulation schemes. IQlte’s suite of measurement routines discerns both signal and data channels. This is key to making debug easier. In addition, IQlte lets users add impairments to the transmitted signal, such as white noise, to more accurately simulate real-world signals. And, it lets users define their own channel models.
Price and delivery
LitePoint's IQlte software runs on a PC platform under Windows XP. It will begin shipping on July 27, 2009 and turnaround time is one week after receipt of the order. IQlte is priced at $9000.00 and can be purchased online. For more information and an IQlte datasheet, go to IQlte.
