IQmax 750
Testing WiMAX in Development
In order to test WiMAX during development you need to analyze a device’s transmitted signals, send precisely structured signals to the device’s receiver and check its response, then compare both transmitted and received characteristics against the appropriate 802.16x standard. The user interface should provide intuitive control and informative graphical and tabular displays. LitePoint’s IQmax®-750 is designed to be the ideal building-block system for WiMAX development.
IQmax-750 WiMAX Development Tester
You use LitePoint IQmax-750 as the basic unit for WiMAX development testing. When loaded with the appropriate software it will fully test the TX and RX characteristics of an 802.16-2004 (also known as 802.16d for fixed WiMAX applications) or 802.16e-2005 (for mobile WiMAX applications). For developing WiMAX having multiple transmitters, receivers and antennas, the IQmax-750 can be combined with additional IQmax-750s to build up an IQnxnplus test solution. Each IQmax-750 integrates a vector signal generator (VSG) for injecting precisely structured signals into a device’s receiver; and vector signal analyzer (VSA) for analyzing a device’s transmitted signals. The tester’s VSA takes the place of a traditional spectrum analyzer and power meter, and the VSG takes the place of a discrete signal generator. Working together, the VSA and VSG allow you to fully test all aspects of a device’s WiMAX subsystem against the physical-layer (PHY) specifications of its underlying 802.16 standard. For complete details see the IQmax brochure and datasheet.
